KARACHI: PA session today

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, Dec 20: The Sindh Assembly is meeting on Wednesday at 10am after a break of five days. Although there is a lengthy agenda according to the order of the day including consideration of various government bills and resolutions, priority will be given to the general discussion on an adjournment motion of Anwar Ahmad Mehar of the PPP; and identical motions notices of which were given by other opposition MPAs including leader of the opposition Nisar Ahmad Khuhro.

A general discussion on water resources including the Kalabagh Dam is likely to be the second item on the agenda. This will likely draw fireworks from the opposition due to the ongoing debate initiated by President Musharraf to muster support for construction of dams over River Indus including the Kalabagh Dam.
