HELSINKI, Dec 12: Inflation risks are building up in Finland, although prospects for the Nordic euro zone member state are good, Bank of Finland governor Erkki Liikanen said on Monday.
The near term outlook is good, (based) on the strength of companies’ improved order books and households’ continuing firm confidence in their own economy, Liikanen said in a quarterly presentation on the economy.
But he added: The risks related to inflation (in Finland) have risen. Indebtedness and housing price developments also still involve clear risks to which too light a monetary policy can add.
