ISLAMABAD, Dec 1: Several cities in northern parts of the country were rocked late Thursday by an aftershock. The tremor measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale was felt simultaneously in Islamabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Azad Jammu and Kashmir at 8:38pm, metrological department chief Qamaruzzaman told AFP.
The official said the epicentre was about 120km northwest of Islamabad near Mansehra, in the same region where the Oct 8 quake killed over 74,000 people.
