FAISALABAD, Nov 24: Madina Town Nazim Chaudhry Ali Akhtar Khan has imposed a ban on the issuance of No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for installation of large publicity boards within the town’s limits. The decision has been taken after complaints of uprooting of hoardings resulting in accidents.

Presiding over a meeting, Ali Akthar Khan said lists of all those publicity boards were being prepared which had been installed in the town limits without fulfilling the legal requirements.

He said different places were being finalized to erect hoardings to avoid accidents.

The nazim said a number of hoardings would be uprooted after cancellation of their NOCs.

“Formalities are being completed and a grand operation will be launched soon,” he said. — Staff Correspondent
