Groom among six killed in accidents

SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 20: Six people, including a groom and a woman, were killed in different incidents in and around the district here on Sunday. Reports said groom Muhammad Saleem along with his friends, Muhammad Imran, Asif and Imran Ahmad was on his way home by a car. Near Khanqah Dogran on Sheikhupura-Sargodha Road, a speeding trailer collided with the vehicle as a result of which Saleem and driver Amanat died on the spot while the other car riders sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Mayo Hospital, Lahore. Khanqah Dogran police are investigating.

Sughran Bibi, a resident of Khalid Road, was stabbed to death by her husband over a family feud. A-Division police are looking into the matter.

In another incident, Faisal of Arrianwala was shot dead by his friends over a trifle. A-Division police have registered a case against Tahir and others.

At Rakh Awan Aalampur in Ferozewala police limits, trader Maqbool died after taking poisonous liquor.

Maqsood, a class III student, was knocked down by a rashly-driven tractor-trolley on Sharqpur Road. He died on the spot.
