Benazir and Nawaz should be allowed to return: Khar

KHAIRPUR, Nov 20: Former Punjab Governor Ghulam Mustafa Khar has said that no movement against the government will succeed without a good leadership. He was talking to newsmen at the residence of PPP leader Pir Zaman Shah Rashdi in Pir-Jo-Goth.

Mr Khar said that Benazir Bhutto was a true leader of the people.

He said Benazir and Nawaz Sharif should be allowed to return to Pakistan as the country needed them.

The former Punjab governor said that only a few families were ruling the country while the public was suffering from unemployment, price hike and crimes.

He said that no law existed in the country and influential people wielded all the power.

Himmat Ali Kamario, Mehboob Shah Rashdi and Samiullah Shah Rashdi were present on the occasion.

SPLA: The annual election of the Khairpur chapter of the Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association was held here on Saturday evening at the Government Superior Science College.

Prof Fida Hussain Buriro supervised the election.

Prof Noor Ahmed Khuhro was elected as the president, Prof Nazar Hussain Channo was elected as the vice-president, Prof Mohammad Athar Hanjrah as the general secretary, Atta Hussain Phul as a joint secretary, Rehmat Ali Gopang as finance secretary and Mir Zulfiqar Ali Talpur as press secretary.

CONFESSION: A man, Zakir Janwari, has confessed that he with the help of two accomplices killed his wife, Zamiran, a few months ago on the pretext of karo-kari and threw her body in the Rohri canal.
