KARACHI, Nov 12: The Frontier Constabulary, a paramilitary force deployed in Sindh in the mid-seventies, is being withdrawn from the province to be deployed in the quake-hit areas.
Sources said the government needed a well-trained force to cater to the needs of relief work and the FC personnel were being withdrawn on a request of the Interior Ministry.
Some 1,900 FC men had been performing their duties at the Governor’s House, Qasr-i-Naz, State Guest House, foreign missions and other important installations.—Staff Reporter
