LAHORE, Oct 20: Right-arm medium pacer Rohail Younis snapped six wickets to help Lahore Ravi bundle out Hyderabad for 180 in the first innings of the Inter-region U-19 national cricket championship at the Lahore Country Club, Muridke on Thursday.

Rohail conceded 43 runs in 17.4 overs after Ravi skipper Abid Ali forced Hyderabad to bat first.

Another medium-pacer Jamshed Ahmed took three wickets as none of the Hyderabad batsmen played an innings of substance.

Only Noman Ali (44) and Shahzad Haider (42) made any notable contributions. By the stumps, Lahore Ravi had scored 56 in the first innings without any loss.

A fine century by opener Nasir Jamshed (139) and half-century by Ahmad Butt (71) propelled Lahore Shalimar to an imposing first innings total of 334 for nine against Sialkot at Saga Ground, Sialkot.

Nasir cracked 17 boundaries off 173 balls while Ahmad hammered eight boundaries. He faced 178 balls.

Nasir and Ahmad Butt’s third-wicket partnership yielded 187 runs after they were 37 for two wickets. Medium-pacer Imran Malik and leg-spinner Nayyar Abbas claimed three wickets each for 102 and 71 runs.

Asked to bat first, the home side totalled 254 in just over 71 overs, Zahid Mansoor (45) and Yasim Murtaza (46) leading the scoring.

Paceman Ausaf Hussain Rabbani with 3-58 was the top wicket-taker while Zeeshan Ali, Muhammad Nadeem and Muhammad Misbah Khan took two apiece.

In reply, Karachi Urban were tottering at 36 for four wickets in 12 overs at close, Akhtar Ayub and Haseeb Amjad sharing the wickets.
