SWABI, Oct 20: Providing tents and recovering dead bodies from the rubble in Balakot and Batagram are the main demands of quake survivors in the towns. This was stated by relief workers who returned from quake-hit areas on Thursday.

They said that rain and increasingly chilly weather had made it all the more important to immediately provide tents to victims whoso houses had been destroyed in the disaster.

They said heavy equipment were needed to remove huge chunks of concrete in order to retrieve bodies.

They said an old woman, who was sitting over the wreckage of her house, told them that five members of her family were under the debris.

The relief workers said that despite a substantial supply of relief material, quake victims in the suburbs of Balakot and Batagram still needed a lot more to survive. The appreciated the relief efforts being made by foreign rescue teams.
