Plea to help devastated Kala Dhaka

By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Oct 12: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement said on Wednesday that the Kala Dhaka area in the Provincially-Administered Tribal Areas hugging the Mansehra district in NWFP has been devastated by the Saturday’s earthquake and torrential rains and no relief team has reached there to the day.

According to an MQM press release more than 70 per cent of the houses in the area had been destroyed.

It said that 60 per cent of Shahdug, 50 per cent of Nusrat Khel, 55 per cent of Jabeenzai and five per cent of Akazai had been severely affected.

The MQM appealed for immediate action to provide relief to the affected people.
