Port Qasim

KARACHI, Oct 7: Three vessels carrying containers and chemicals were berthed at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Berth occupancy stood at 89 per cent as nine ships, Saudi Abha, Al-Wajba, Contship Tamarind, Hyderabad, Entalina, Bagi, Evanglos-L, Joyas Age and Anette Kodan, were busy in loading and unloading rice, containers and edible, crude oil, sugar, wheat and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 63,817 tons comprising 47,648 tons of import and 16,169 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Contship tamarind, Anette Kosan and Entalina left the port while Bagi, Saudi Abha and Al-Wajba were expected to depart.

Four ships, Aurora, Al Marwah, Energy Champion and Pacific Breeze, were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
