KARACHI: Altaf renews pledge to serve people

KARACHI, Sept 28: Chief of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain has reiterated his party’s commitment of serving humanity, and said that those who did not support this cause should quit the MQM.

He was addressing his party workers in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Thatta, Badin, Jacobabad, Dadu, Larkana, Sanghar, Naushahro Feroz, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Kashmor, Qambar and Shahdadkot by telephone from London.

Mr Hussain said serving humanity and getting people their rights was the greatest worship. “Our mission is not aimed at serving personal interests but those of the poor masses, besides protecting rights of those deprived of the same,” he added.

He said that the Khidmat-i-Khalq Foundation (KKF) of the MQM had been serving the poor and needy irrespective of their caste, colour, creed, language, nationality, religion, etc., for the past 28 years.—APP
