Humayun to meet Indian chamber officials

ISLAMABAD, Sept 17: Commerce Minister Humayun Akhtar Khan will meet officials of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in New Delhi on Monday.

An official announcement on Saturday said that during the meeting both the sides would discuss ways and means to enhance trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and India.

The minister on the invitation of CNN International would also attend CNN Connects programme to be broadcast live from Mumbai on Sunday.

Mr Khan is one of the few people selected to represent Pakistan in the programme. The discussion will be focused on India-Pakistan relations and achievement made so far through economic and political partnerships.

The minister would share his views about this relationship, what sort of reforms is still needed, and how business, political and entertainment communities are helping to further the relationship.

Leading members of business communities of both the countries, members of the Pakistani expatriate community and cultural and political icons would make the audience.
