KARACHI, Sept 15: Four ships carrying tallow, chemicals and palm oil are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. The berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Iran Sattari, PONL Vera Cruz, Canmar Success, Kota Tabah and Hyundai Sprinter, to unload and load containers, Tinai, to offload sugar and Taipan, to offload soyabean oil, were berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was modest as only two ships, APL Pusan and Great Chance departed, while Hyundai Sprinter, PONL Vera Cruz, Taipan, Iran Sattari, Canmar Success, Manila Star, Golden Express, and Kota Tabah are due to sail out on Friday.

The cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 84,233 tons comprising 12,790 tons of export cargo and 71,443 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Norwave, with 9,000 tons of palm oil, Antoine, with 38,209 tons of coal, Matina, with 8,000 tons of tallow and Shintoku, with 1,000 tons of chemicals.
