KARACHI, Sept 12: Three persons drowned in the Hub River in Manghopir on Monday. Police said that all the three men were taking bath in the river when they were swept away by strong water currents.
Edhi sources said that bodies of Alana, 50, Afzal Baloch, 45, were recovered but body of the third victim, Kishan, 18, could not be recovered from the river. Police shifted the bodies to the Civil Hospital for legal formalities.
Meanwhile, the body of a young man was recovered from Lyari River beneath the Teen Hatti Bridge on Monday. Edhi sources said that the victim was identified as Muham-mad Yasin, 23. The body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for autopsy.
