Banking course


KARACHI, Sept 12: State Bank Governor Dr Ishrat Husain on Monday called upon the participants of first Islamic Banking Certificate Course to be loyal to their banks at least for the next three years to gain experience.

“Do not run after higher offers by the foreign Islamic banks but show loyalty to your bank and gain experience as your turn will come, believe me”. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the course at the National Institute of Banking and Financial Institutions at SBP North Nazimabad building here, the governor said the foreign Islamic banks intending to start operations in Pakistan were anxiously waiting for the conclusion of this course to hire experts in Islamic banking.—APP
