WASHINGTON, Sept 8: The United States and Saudi Arabia are on the verge of signing an agreement paving the way for the world’s largest oil producer to join the World Trade Organization, US Trade Representative Rob Portman said on Thursday.
“We have negotiated what we think is a good, tough bilateral agreement with Saudi Arabia,” he told reporters after a meeting with lawmakers, including some who have raised concerns about a US deal allowing Riyadh to join the WTO.—Reuters
