ARD nominee for Sialkot

SIALKOT, Sept 7: The ARD has fielded Matloob Ahmad Warraich as its potential candidate for the district nazim slot against the ruling PML’s Muhammad Akmal Cheema. Mr Warraich is president of PPP (European affairs) and belongs to Mitraanwali, Daska.

The formal announcement to this effect was made in a joint meeting of the PML-N, PPP and MMA under the umbrella of ARD held here on Wednesday.

The ARD has fielded Malik Sarfraz for Sialkot tehsil nazim slot against the PML’s Aamir Ameer Husain, the party’s district president and the elder son of National Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Ameer Husain.

The ARD has claimed support of the Variyo family against Mr Cheema.
