By Our Sports Correspondent

LAHORE, Sept 1: Justice Fazal-e-Miran Chauhan of Lahore High Court, Multan Bench has ordered for the parawise comments of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mr. Shaharyar M. Khan and senior general manager cricket operations, Zakir Khan for suspending the secretary of the Muzaffargarh District Cricket Association Mohammad Moin Khanzada.

The petitioner appealed to the honourable court that he was suspended for including an overaged player in the last PCB Under-19 cricket tournament, without giving him an opportunity to clear his position.

“The appeal/representation of the petitioner has been rejected by respondent No 2 (Zakir Khan), he was not given an opportunity to present his case before the respondents and was penalized unheard.

“Let a copy of this petition be sent to respondents No 1 (Shaharyar) and 2 (Zakir) to file report and parawise comments to the same to reach this court before 5.9.2005”, the justice said in his order.

The player in question was Ataur Rehman who was allegedly overage.
