ISLAMABAD, Sept 1: Pakistan and Lebanon have signed an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion between the two countries. An official announcement issued by foreign office here on Thursday said that the agreement was signed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Lebanon and Lebanese Minister for Finance on behalf of their respective governments in Beirut on Aug 31, 2005. The Lebanese minister expressed the hope that the agreement would help in building stronger bridges between the two countries. It would provide another sound platform to attract and protect investors in both countries, he added.
