Indian entries for Regatta

KARACHI, Aug 30: The Indian Sailing Federation has sent their entries for the coming South Asian yachting Regatta being held at Marina Club from Sept 8 to 11, organizers said on Tuesday.

The 13-member Indian squad includes seven sailors for Enterprise class, four for Optimist and two officials. They are Cdr M. Subramanian, Lt. Cdr Sameer Suri, Lt Cdr R. Mahesh, Lt Cdr Amit Arvind, MCPO N. K. Yadav, MCPO G. L. Yadav and LPTI C. Murgan (Enterprise), Viraf Heerjee, Krish Makhija, Alok Dhangare, and Ayesha Lobo (Optimist).

Commodore S. K. Mongia, a veteran Indian sailor, and Ms Neeta Angre will accompany the team as officials.

Hosts Pakistan and India are the defending champions of Enterprise and Optimist team titles which they have won at Colombo last year. Sri Lanka is the third team in the competition.
