HYDERABAD, Aug 28: The Sindh Chamber of Agriculture has expressed concern over non-publication of the technical committee’s report on water. At a meeting held here on Sunday, the chamber called upon the prime minister to release the report.
Syed Qamaruzzaman Shah presided over the meeting. Mr Shah regretted that the copy of the report had not even been provided to the Sindh chief minister.
He expressed fear that the report might contain some elements against Sindh.
The meeting was informed that according to some reports, Mr A.N.G. Abbasi had recommended another dam instead of Kalabagh and there would be no canal taken out from it.
The chamber demanded that Kalabagh dam should be abondoned completely.
