Best corporate reports result announced

KARACHI, Aug 26: The Joint Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) announced the final results of the ‘Best Corporate Reports Awards’ for the year 2004, on Friday.

A press release issued jointly by the two institutes stated that Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited bagged the overall top of the top position in all sectors. Other sector wise positions, respectively in the first to fifth positions were as follows: financial sector: Askari Commercial Bank; PICIC; Bank of Punjab; Faysal Bank and Atlas Investment Bank. In the chemical & fertilizer sector: Fauji Fertilizer; Aventis; Engro Chemical; GlaxoSmith Kline and Highnoon. In engineering sector: Al-Ghazi Tractors; Siemens Pakistan Engineering; Crescent Steel and Allied Products; Honda Atlas Cars and Bolan Castings. In the fuel & energy sector: Attock Refinery; Pakistan Oilfields; Sui Southern Gas Company; PSO and National Refinery. In the miscellaneous sector: Rafhan Maize Products; Shakarganj Mills; Nestle Milkpak; Packages and Century Paper & Board Mills. Certificate of merit was awarded to Pak Oman Investment Company. There were no winners in the Textile sector as none of the reports came up to the minimum standard, the press release stated.
