HYDERABAD: Paramedical staff call off hunger strike

HYDERABAD, Aug 22: Office-bearers of the Sindh Paramedical Staff Welfare Association, Liaquat Medical University, called off their hunger strike outside the local press club on the intervention by former Sindh minister Dr Irfan Gul Magsi on Monday.

They had been on strike for a week for their demands.

The minister intervened when the health secretary and medical superintendent of Liaquat Medical University Hospital assured him of withdrawing cases and transfer orders of the paramedical staff.
