KARACHI: Muttahida activist shot dead

KARACHI, Aug 21: An activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement was shot dead on Sunday morning. According to police, the bullet-riddled body of Gulfam, 28, was found from Martin Quarters. Police also found his motorcycle beside the body. He was kidnapped from Liaquatabad late on Saturday night, police said.

Later, the body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

In Surjani, a headless body was recovered from a storm drain.

Police said that hands and legs were stuffed in a gunny bag while legs and abdomen were found in another bag found in a storm drain in Sector 1-L. Police shifted the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities and started investigation.

In Solider Bazaar, a woman was found dead inside her house on Sunday.

Police said that Sabiha was found dead when her brother visited her house. He reported the matter to police. Subsequently, the body was recovered and shifted to Civil Hospital for autopsy. They said that the woman had marks of strangulation.
