KARACHIi, Aug 20: Top players of the country including 60 foreign players have confirmed their participation in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Under-18 World ranking tournament commencing from Aug 20 in Islamabad.

According to a top official of Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) on Saturday, the list of foreign players contains 40 players from India who have confirmed their participation in the weeklong event.

This is the category five event of ITF and also includes the double’s event besides boys’ and girls’ singles.

Meanwhile, Sindh Tennis Association (STA) has announced the names of ten players who will represent Sindh in the upcoming event.

Secretary STA Khalid Rehmani informed that Yasir Khan, Danish Ahmed, Syed Abbas Raza, Mateen Arif, Nasir Mushtaq, Ali Abdullah, Atiq Qasim, Ghulam Abbas, Zohair Raza and Mubashir Ali Afridi will represent the province in the event, the second leg of which would be played at Lahore next month.—PPI
