By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Aug 20: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has felicitated federal and provincial governments for making fool-proof arrangements for holding local body elections peacefully in Sindh, particularly in Karachi.

He conveyed his sentiments to Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, Chief Minister Dr Arbab Rahim and the provincial home minister Rauf Siddiqui. He also praised police and other law enforcement agencies for maintaining law and order.

Mr Hussain also congratulated MQM workers and the general public on the “historic victory” of Haq Parast candidates. Mr Hussain said that apart from Mirpurkhas, Tando Alayar, Moro in interior of Sindh, Haq Parast candidates also proved their mettle in the Punjab, NWFP and Balochistan.
