PML condemns attack on Adil Sheikh

ISLAMABAD Aug 16: The ruling Pakistan Muslim League (PML) on Tuesday condemned attack on a leader of the party’s Sindh chapter, Haleem Adil Sheikh, and termed it a shameful act.

It urged the Sindh government to take action against elements involved in the incident.

Talking by telephone to party’s Sindh information secretary Haleem Sheikh after hearing about the attack, party’s central secretary general senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said that PML had always condemned terrorism in all its forms.

He said that PML workers should not feel that they are alone.

He said protecting life and property of PML workers was the priority of the PML and its government. He assured Mr Sheikh that he would contact the Sindh government to get the culprits arrested and prevent such incidents in future. PML secretary information Senator Tariq Azeem Khan also talked with Mr Sheikh by telephone.
