KARACHI, Aug 11: All educational institutions in the province would observe a holiday on Aug 15, said official sources on Thursday. Talking to Dawn, the additional secretary of the Sindh education department, Dr Mahboob A Shaikh, said that it had been decided by the department that Aug 15 be declared as holiday in lieu of Aug 14.

He said that all educational institutions in the public and private sector would remain closed on Monday.

He said that institutions in Karachi would remain closed for teaching purposes on Aug 18 as the Sindh government had declared it a local holiday on the day of local body polls.
