ISLAMABAD, Aug 11: The Privatization Commission has received 17 expressions of interest (EoIs) from the parties interested in the purchase of blocks ‘A’ and ‘B’ land owned by Pakistan Engineering Company Limited (PECO), Badami Bagh Works, Lahore, on an “as-is-where-is” basis through competitive bidding process.

Ten parties are interested in Block ‘A’ and seven in Block ‘B’ land.

According to an official handout, the commission offered the interested parties to participate in the bidding process for the purchase of the land at Badami Bagh, Lahore.

The property has been offered in two lots – Block-A (159 kanals seven marlas and 207 sq-ft) and Block-B (100 kanals 12 marlas and 144 sq-ft).

The plot of Badami Bagh land is situated in south of the Lahore railway station and in north of the Badami Bagh railway station.

This is a commercial area accessible by roads and railway siding. The site is ideally located in the heart of thriving steel market of Badami Bagh. The Badami Bagh timber market is also in close proximity of the site.

The parties interested in the purchase of Block ‘A’ of PECO land include: Aqeel Karim Dhedhi Securities (Pvt) Ltd, Bara Ghee Mills, Kohinoor Oil Mills Ltd, M. Jamil Khan (Hino Rawalpindi Motors), Maghrib Development Corp (Pvt) Ltd, Professional Associates and Dave Cross Architects, Nawaz Khan Trading Company, Sadat Enterprises, Seatrade Group, and Sukh Chayn Gardens (Pvt) Ltd.

Seven parties shown their interest in the purchase of Block ‘B‘ of PECO land include: Barrister Khawaja Tahseen/ Asim Siddique Butt, Bara Ghee Mills, Kohinoor Oil Mills Ltd, M. Jamil Khan (Hino Rawalpindi Motors), Nawaz Khan Trading Company, Sadaf Enterprises (Ship Breakers and Importers), and Sukh Chyan Gardens (Pvt) Ltd.
