KARACHI, Aug 10: Eight vessels including Guang Huame with 19,327 tons of sugar are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, APL Jeddah, Jat Na Mu to unload and load general cargo, Elbe Oldendroff, and Bunga Delima to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Hanjin Busan, Monoxylion and Elver, while Swat, Thor Captain, Farest Glory, APL Jeddan and Bung Delima are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 94,129 tons comprising 15,110 tons of export tonnage and 79,019 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Guang Huamen, with 19,327 tons of sugar, Kota Tampan, Kota Waris, APL Orchid, Kuo Hung, Conti Esperance, with containers, Clio, with 10,114 tons of steel cargo and Bnglar Urmi, with jute bags and logs.
