KARACHI, Aug 9: Seven ships carrying palm oil, steel and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Asham Ashik, to unload sugar, Swat, to offload crude oil, Monoxylion and Hanjin Busan, with containers.

Three vessels, United Prosperity, Itha Bhum and Shalamar departed on Tuesday, while Hanjin Busan, Monoxylion, Elver, and Swat are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side totalling 93,455 tons comprising 7,686 tons of export cargo and 85,769 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Ace-7, with 3,000 tons of palm oil, Hyundai Sprinter, Kota Waris, Global Progress, Y.M. Fortune, Dong He, with containers and Phoros, with 4,783 tons of steel cargo.
