KARACHI, Aug 4: Six ships carrying DAP fertilizer, logs and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where seven vessels were berthed. They are: Hyundai Stride, PONL Vera Cruz, Y.M. Noon, and Harmony, to unload and load containers, Fu Yuan Kou, to offload vehicles, Iran Sadr and Elver to offload and load general cargo.

Four ships — Ever Gather, APL Cairo, Eships Bainunah and Fu Yuan Kou — departed on Thursday, while Y.M. Moon, Steven-C, Corin Thaikos, Golden Express, Sinar Bontang and Oriental Kerria are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where a total tonnage of 0.105m tons, including 15,547 tons of export cargo and 89,810 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following vessels are due on Friday: TMM Hidalgo, Itha Bhum, CMA Cgm Karibu, with containers, Goldmark, with 33,000 tons of DAP fertilizer and Kardaran Star, with general cargo and logs.
