KARACHI, Aug 3: Six ships carrying steel scrap and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where nine vessels, Sinar Bontang, Yang Jiang He, Corin Thaikos, APL Cario, Ever Gather, to unload and load containers, Gokcan, to offload DAP fertilizer, Eships Bainunah, Oriental Kerria, with oil tankers were berthed after the departure of three.

The ships, which departed included Yang Jiang He, Adhidaya and Maritime Skill, while Ever Gather, Mariam-6, Hang Jun-1007, Eships Bainunah and PONL Vera Cruz are due to sail out on Thursday. Cargo handling activity the wharves was maintained on the higher where the total tonnage rose to 0.110m tons comprising 4,725 tons of export cargo and 0.106m tons of import tonnage, including 69,154 tons of dry cargo.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Elver, with 29,000 tons steel scrap, Golden Express, Y.M. Faha, Iran Baabaei, T.M.M. Hidalgo and Monoxylion, with containers.
