ISLAMABAD, July 31: Pakistan Air Force has confirmed a report that it will be receiving two F-16s from the United States in the near future. These F-16s are of same category as the ones which PAF already possess and are being provided to Pakistan from their available stock, said a PAF press release issued here on Sunday.

The expenditure involved in procurement of these F-16s is very nominal, the press release stated.

Anyhow, it may be noted that the issue of purchase of newer version of additional F-16s is under discussion and the number and delivery timing of new F-16s will be decided at later stage, it added.—APP
