KARACHI: Govt claims foolproof steps for polls


KARACHI, July 31: All arrangements have been made for holding local body elections in a peaceful environment. This was stated by Sindh Chief Minister’s Adviser Wasim Akhtar here on Sunday while talking to newsmen during his visit to International Housing Industry Exhibition organized at Expo Centre.

He said there was no need of the army to supervise the elections. Law and order situation had been brought under control with the fool-proof measures taken by the government prior to the local body polls leaving no possibility for any untoward incident to occur.—APP
