Ghazal grabs gold

KARACHI, July 29: Ghazal Mir Masood displayed total control of her boat and sailed to land gold in Optimists event. All Pakistanis were on victory stand at Tetouan International Sailing Week Regatta that concluded on July 28.

The third position in the girl Optimist event was claimed by Ghazal’s sister, Ujala. In the boys Optimist, Hussain Patel also did well throughout the event and won silver whereas Adil Jalil grabbed bronze.

The victorious trip has provided experience to the young sailors of the country in preparation for the Asian Championship and Asian Games which will be held in January and December 2006.
