KARACHI, July 29: Four ships carrying steel pipes and project cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Beaufort Wind, Swat, Celtic Terrier to unload oils, APL Orchid to offload and load containers and Ulysses-2 to offload coal were berthed after the departure of over a dozen vessels.

Sailing was maintained on the higher side as over a dozen ships departed after unloading and loading cargoes. They are: Kota Teguh, Manila Bay, Hyundai Future, APL Orchid, Y.M. Star, Kota Wijaya, Mearsk Vilnius, Shahalmar, Nur Yanbu, San Antonio, Rickmers Mumbai, Beaufort Wind and Suez Express, while Eax Sanctity, Maersk Alaska, Swat, Wan Hai-226 and Celtic Terrier are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 0.123m tons comprising 26,008 tons of export cargo, including 1,368 tons of cement and 96,422 tons of import cargo. The following ships are due on Friday: Farest Glory, with general cargo, Regine and Mariam-VI, with project cargo and Shun-E2, with steel pipes.
