Committee to probe private housing schemes


LAHORE, July 20: The chairman of the federal government committee on housing has constituted a sub-committee for investigating the causes of the growing unrest against the private housing schemes and proposing measures for redressing the grievances of the people. The sub-committee comprises chairmen of capital and Rawalpindi development authorities, Rawalpindi DO (cooperatives) and representatives of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and federal housing ministry and will submit its report within three weeks.

Punjab Cooperatives Minister Col Malik Anwar (retired) said on Wednesday the report would highlight the problems of the people with respect to the housing schemes.—Reporter
