QUETTA, July 14: Three children were killed and another three persons critically injured on Wednesday night when a home-made bomb exploded in a house in Jhal Magsi area, some 380 kilometres east of Quetta.

Among those injured were two women and a man. All the three persons were taken to hospital.

“Three children, two of them brothers, died on the spot when the bomb exploded,” a senior official of the levy force told this correspondent by telephone from Gandawah.

Sources said the children found a toy-like device while they were playing outside a house in the village of Naghow..

The device suddenly exploded when one playful child tried to open it in a nearby house.

The deceased children were identified as Rahim Bakhsh and brothers Yar Mohammad and Mohammad Azim. The injured were identified as Maizadi, Sabahat Khatoon and Lakhmir.
