KARACHI, July 12: The Caretaker of the city government, Fazalur Rehman, on Tuesday visited various parts of the city and inspected various ongoing development projects. EDO Works Services Syed Nawaz Ali Shah and DO Parks and Horticulture Liaquat Ali Khan accompanied him. He visited Boating Basin, Bagh Ibn-i-Qasim, model parks ST 5 and ST 22, Clifton Beach Park and development works underway at the Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine. He expressed satisfaction over the pace of development works.
He however, expressed unhappiness about delay in work at the Kothari Parade and said that work should have been completed much before.
The Kothari Parade project was handed over to the Parks Department with directions that it should be completed at the earliest.
He praised the construction of wall around the Bagh Ibn-i-Qasim, being construction on the line of the Kothari Parade’s and directed that it should be completed soon.
Mr Fazal also stressed the need for constructing a park on the coastline besides giving directions that more trees be planted in the Boating Basin Park and the lighting system be improved.—PPI
