Juniors for Cologne


ISLAMABAD, July 6: A seven-member Pakistan squad left for Cologne (Germany) on Wednesday for participation in the Junior International Squash Championship to be played there from July 11.

The squad, comprising five players and two officials, left without young Daanish Atlas who was to compete in Under- 13 category but had to miss out after fracturing his arm.

Daanish was hurt during a training session in his native city of Peshawar—just a couple of days before he was due to fly off to Germany.

The following five players will represent Pakistan in different categories: Nasir Iqbal (Under-13), Nousherwan and Farhan Zaman (Under-15) and Shohaib Hassan and Waqar Mehboob (Under-17).—APP
