Japan rejects call for economic sanctions against North Korea TOKYO, June 24 (AFP) - Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi Friday rejected calls by some 20 family members of Japanese citizens abducted by North Korea to impose economic sanctions against Pyongyang. Five Kurdish fighters killed in southeast Turkey DIYARBAKIR, Turkey, June 24 (Reuters) - Five rebel fighters of the banned Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) were killed and one Turkish security guard was injured during an armed clash in the town of Bingol in Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast region on Friday, officials said.
