KARACHI, June 15: Seven ships including a car carrier with 1,260 units are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active because of steady arrivals. As a result, seven vessels, Thor Capitan, Eax Sanctity, APL Jeddah to unload and load containers, Panoramas Pride, to unload urea, Rea to load naphtha, Minsa to offload palm oil and Stolt Markland to offload base oil and aviation gas, were berthed.
Four ships, Iran Sattari, Pu He, Vandua Naree, and Dina Queen sailed out on Wednesday, while Minsa, APL Jeddah and Rea are expected to depart on Thursday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 70,727 tons comprising 15,057 tons of export cargo and 55,670 tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following vessels are due on Thursday: Jo Lind and Ming Ze Hu to load 5,000 tons of ethanol and 25,000 tons of naphtha respectively, Wester Muehlen to unload and load containers, Thor Jasmine, with 32,307 tons of urea, Abcadia Highway, with 1,260 cars, Multan, with rock phosphate and Bolan, with general cargo.
