Gen Hayat visits North Waziristan
PESHAWAR, June 12: Vice Chief of Army Staff Gen Ahsan Saleem Hayat on Sunday visited the troops in North Waziristan. During the visit Gen Ahsan Saleem Hayat was given a briefing by General Officer Commanding Maj Gen Mohammad Akram Sahi.
According to a press release issued here by the Inter-Services Public Relations, earlier on his arrival in the city, Gen Hayat spent some time with Corps Commander Lt Gen Safdar Hussain and exchanged views on various aspects relating to the corps.
Later, he visited Miramshah and Dabbar Miami and expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness of the troops. Gen Hayat paid rich tribute to the security forces for rendering supreme sacrifices in the war against terrorism, the press release said.
