KARACHI: JUI meeting


KARACHI, June 7: The Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam, Sindh, has asked the government to restore peace in Karachi or step down. It met at the Jamia Usmania, Shershah, on Tuesday to review law and order in the city and expressed grave concern over the deteriorating situation.

It decided that a JUI delegation would soon be meeting the chief minister, home minister and IGP to register its concern in this regard. The meeting stressed that the provincial government must take measures for the arrest of terrorists and restoration of peace in the city.—PPI
