India interested in three gas pipelines via Pakistan ISLAMABAD, June 6 (AFP) - India said Monday it was interested in three proposed multi-billion-dollar gas pipeline projects passing through Pakistan from Iran, Turkmenistan and Qatar. An Iraqi driver for the Ministry of Housing was killed Monday by U.S. army fire at an intersection in western Baghdad between the al-Khadra and al-Amariya districts, witnesses said.Also a newly opened Iraqi military base in western Baghdad was targeted by a car bomb which injured three soldiers. Violence erupts outside Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque JERUSALEM, June 6 (Reuters) - Israeli police faced off against Palestinians throwing rocks at Jews outside Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque on Monday during Israel's annual celebration of its capture of all of Arab East Jerusalem 38 years ago. Police, who hurled several stun grenades as they moved into the area known to Jews as Temple Mount and to Muslims as al-Haram al-Sharif pulled away from the shrine about an hour later after calm was restored. Pakistan, India to cooperate in pipeline project: PM ISLAMABAD, Jun 6 (APP): Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Monday said Pakistan gives top priority to the overland gas pipeline project for the supply of gas to Pakistan from Iran and Turkmenistan, and then carry it forward to India to meet its energy requirements. He was talking to Mani Shankhar Aiyar, the Indian Minister of Petroleum, who called on him at the Prime Minister Secretariat to discuss the gas pipeline project. Aziz said the pipeline is an independent project which should not be linked to any other issue. Mani Shankar Aiyar termed his meeting with Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz encouraging and fruitful' and thanked the Prime Minister for his valuable input and constructive approach.
