Sharon and Abbas set June 21 summit JERUSALEM, June 1 (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said on Wednesday he would hold a second summit with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on June 21. The two leaders last met on Feb. 8 in Egypt where they called a halt to four and a half years of fighting in a deal that has sharply reduced violence in the region. A statement from Sharon's office said he and Abbas would meet again on June 21 and that Israeli and Palestinian officials would meet beforehand to discuss the more than three-month-old truce and to coordinate Israel's planned Gaza pullout in August." Jerusalem's municipal architect, Uri Shetrit, said the council was readying to destroy 88 homes, but the date had yet to be decided. Home destruction orders hang over 1,000 Palestinians living in Silwan, just outside the walls of the Old City. The operation will be one of the largest collective destruction operations of Palestinian houses in the Arab quarter of Jerusalem since it was occupied by Israel in 1967. The motion which was moved by Senator Professor Khurshid Ahmed, the senators belonging to both divides of the House participated and raised their voices unanimously by strongly condemning the desecration of the Holy Quran and demanded of the US government for awarding exemplary punishment to all those involved in the crime. Mohammad Tehsin was arrested after suffering head injuries when he and two other men including the suicide bomber attacked the mosque in Karachi on Monday. The strike was called by the opposition Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) to condemn the suicide bombing and to protest against the killing of opposition Jamaat Islami Karachi leader Aslam Mujahid. Mujahid was kidnapped and later shot dead the same day a suicide bomber and two accomplices attacked the Shiite mosque. Police had identified one of the suspects as Mohammad Jamil, claiming that he was a member of outlawed Jaish-e-Mohammad.
