Policemen booked

MIRPURKHAS, May 20: Under the directives of the district and sessions Judge, the town police have registered a case against police officials of the Anti-Car Lifting Cell. They include in-charge Shahid Bajwa, ASI Amjad Batt and four others for kidnapping one Ghulam Mohammad Mangrio and torturing him on Friday.

Mr Mangrio was produced before the district judge Mirpurkhas few days back.

He told the court that he was picked up by policemen and was kept in their captivity.

He said that he was tortured and then thrown outside his house.

The judge called for his medical examination which revealed that he was tortured. The court ordered SHO Town police to lodge case against policemen.
