PESHAWAR, May 20: The annual elections of the Pes-hawar High Court Bar Associ-ation will be held on Saturday, in there are six candidates in the run for the post of president. Outgoing secretary-general Wali Khan Afridi is one of the candidates for the post of the president. The other candidates are: Siddique Haider Qureshi, Fazal Ilahi Khan, Iqbal Khan Mohmand, Atlas Khan Dagai and Hidayatullah.
There are 818 voters and the polling will take place from 8am to 4pm. Qaiser Rasheed was appointed the election commissioner.
Astaghfirullah Khan, Mohammad Jamil Qammar, Bilal Durrani and Rifaqatullah are contesting for the post of secretary-general.
For the post of vice president, Fakhrun Nisa, Hidayatullah Afridi, Tehmina Ambreen and Murtaza Khan Durrani are in the race.
Mohammad Habib Qureshi and Syed Younas Jan are contesting for the post of joint secretary.
For the post of executive member from Mardan, Mohammad Aqil Khan and Syed Mohammad Ilyas are in the field.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Shoaib has been elected unopposed as treasurer.
Fayyaz Khan and Mohammad Tariq have been elected executive members from Peshawar.
